AmbITion Scotland are looking for people representing a range of art forms from across the cultural sector with experience implementing digital projects in the fields of business strategy, innovation, technology, digital content development and sustainability, to augment the decision making panel for three Make:IT:Happen funds: AmbITion Approach, Sustainable AmbITion and Organisational Development. There will be five panel meetings between October 2012 and October 2013 (see below for dates), and you may apply to participate in any number of these.

What’s involved?
Panellists will read applications from across the three funding areas in advance of each panel meeting, and fill out simple scoring sheets. We estimate that this assessment phase might take a day and a half in each case. This work is flexible and can be done outside of the normal working day.

Make:IT:Happen Fund Panel meetings will take place in either Glasgow or Edinburgh (inclusion via teleconference is also possible). We estimate that each meeting might take about half a day.

AmbITion Scotland can offer a small honorarium for the time committed to serving on the panel.

About the Make:IT:Happen Fund
On 4 July 2012, AmbITion Scotland launched the Make:IT:Happen Fund to help not for profit arts, culture and heritage groups organisations in Scotland grasp the opportunities presented by digital technologies, enabling them to grow their business capability, capacity, creativity and confidence in these areas.

There are five quarterly Make:IT:Happen Fund application periods. These run between July 2012 and September 2013 as follows:
• July – September 2012
• October – December 2012
• January – March 2013
• April – June 2013
• July – September 2013

What to do next
Please indicate your interest in the first instance with an email to Ashley Smith Hammond, AmbITion Scotland Project Manager, ashley@getambition.com, with the following information:

• A letter of interest outlining your relevant experience;
• Your availability for the planned panel meetings: 15 October 2012*, 16 January 2013, 17 April 2013*, 17 July 2013, 16 October 2013. * These two dates will fall during school holidays in some local authorities.
• A short biography, which, if your application is successful, will be published on the AmbITion Scotland site.

AmbITion Scotland expects that the final panel makeup may be different at each meeting. The selection of panel members will be based on maximising the mix of skills available for each decision-making session. Availability does not guarantee selection, so if you indicate multiple dates it will add flexibility for us but does not necessarily mean that you will be called upon to participate.

Deadline for response
17 August 2012
